Book Review - The Single Ladies of Jacaranda Retirement Village
Delightful and genuinely funny, The Single Ladies of Jacaranda Retirement Village is a great antidote to the way our society trivialises old age. On the eve of her eightieth birthday, unassuming Peggy Smart is a woman often overlooked, but Joanna Nell gives her a resounding and poignant voice, exploring her loves, losses and dreams for the future. Peggy's mixed metaphors are laugh out loud funny, and her kind, endearing nature had me with her every step of the way on her path to finding true fulfilment. A wonderful celebration of life and love and a tribute to the seniors of our community.
